Reviews of escape rooms in Birmingham
The Laboratory
Beginner3
The theme is fun and the room is straightforward, but there are lots of throwaway clues and a few that unlock multiple steps, which gets confusing. You do have everything you need to escape, just expect some assumptions and not many hands-on tasks. Staff were super helpful and the setup felt professional. Great for newer players, but veterans will likely want more.

We went as a duo and still brewed the antidote with a couple hints and seconds to spare. Not scary, just urgent and fun. Staff was fantastic from briefing to nudges.

Took two teens and they had a blast connecting clues around one room. Flow made sense, staff gave one nudge at the right time, and we finished with seconds left.

Loved the old-school classroom look and the straight-up logic. We cruised until the last lock, then it turned into a sweaty sprint, and the final aha was sweet. No scares, just puzzles.

As a frequent escaper, I wanted more hands-on mechanisms. The chain of assumptions got muddy, though our newbies had a good time and felt accomplished.

Solid room but that computer section is rough if no one types fast. We burned minutes there, and the hint we got repeated what we’d already solved.

The lab vibe sells the panic, and the single-room flow is tight. A few puzzles were clever, a few were just okay, but the crew kept things crisp. Solid night out downtown.

It’s a single-room game, and several puzzles didn’t feel logical. Too much time spent fishing under or behind props instead of true solving.
