AI Overview

AIPlayers consistently praise the unique intro and immersive Queen Mary vibe tied to local history. Game masters get named shout-outs for charisma, clear help, and custom difficulty tweaks. The room is small but nicely dressed with antique pieces and a mix of tech, and the flow is non-linear. Some challenge leans toward searching, and a few authentic locks can act up.
WeaknessesTight space that favors smaller teams and can feel pricey for just two. Occasional finicky or labeled props break immersion, and some of the challenge is more about finding than solving.
StrengthsAtmospheric sets, a memorable opening sequence, and creative puzzles that fit the theme. Staff read the room well and keep the energy high.
SecurityStandard briefings and attentive staff reported; one team noted special locks needed explaining. The space is snug, so smaller groups move more comfortably.
Level of fearMore eerie than scary, with ghostly ship vibes and no heavy horror. Suitable for families and anyone who wants spooky without jump scares.
Actors' gameGMs like Lizzie, Kingsley, Julia, AJ, and Nina earn real praise for warmth, humor, and timely nudges. Light roleplay and on-the-fly difficulty tweaks make the experience feel personal.
Quality of riddlesNon-linear mix of mechanical and tech moments with a few fresh twists. Generally fair and on-theme, though search-heavy segments can gate progress. Special locks exist and a quick briefing helps.
PlotYou’re probing the Queen Mary’s ghost to slip into her quarters and free lost souls before you’re trapped. The story threads cleanly through the sets and props without getting in the way.
Difficulty levelScales well from approachable to tough; even newbies cleared hard mode with minutes left. Best balance seems 2–4 players who communicate and divide tasks.

Phenomenal first escape room. We went straight for the hardest version and slipped out with minutes to spare. Puzzles were challenging but fair and the room felt immersive. AJ’s can-do energy made the whole win feel epic. Highly recommend.

Loved the atmosphere. It’s a smaller space—four players felt just right at the intermediate level, and we crushed it. Cool to play a role, and Julia made a fun stowaway twist happen. A few fresh puzzle ideas and a very different opening made it memorable. Can’t wait to try the Lab next.

That opening sequence hooked us instantly, and our GM kept the momentum rolling the whole time. Clever, non-linear puzzles with a few neat gadgets, all wrapped in moody Queen Mary vibes. Would happily sail this ghost ship again.

The opening is unique and easily my favorite part. Our GM—pretty sure it was Lizzie—was incredibly kind, bumped us to the harder mode, and put in extra effort to make it shine. Neat tech and antique vibes, though a few labeled items may break immersion for some. Small footprint, so skip big groups; it can be pricey for two, but we still had a great time.

Both of their games start in a unique way, and this one takes the crown for me. The set and props sell the world despite limited space. Puzzles stay on-theme and throw in some creative touches. If you’re in town, give it a go.

First escape room for my parents and we went bold on a higher difficulty. Our host was upbeat, super clear, and made us feel like pros. Tough but fair puzzles, great finish, huge smiles all around.

Immersive set, but it’s a tight squeeze and some progress came down to hunting rather than solving. One old lock was a bit temperamental, though staff jumped in fast. Still a fun, atmospheric hour.

Date night win. The cold open was so different, and the props felt authentic without being fragile. Small space means keep your team lean, but we had a blast and felt the challenge ramp just right.

Charming little room that shows its age in spots but still delivers. The gameplay isn’t linear, the puzzles are smart, and that introductory moment is downright adorable. We left smiling.

Kingsley was a blast—fun, charismatic, and set the tone for my mom’s birthday. Great pick for newbies, with scenery that pops and nods to Long Beach history. Already eyeing the Lab next.

Loved the theme and the staff were lovely, but a couple of labeled items and a quirky lock pulled me out of the moment. Plenty to search, fewer aha puzzle highs than I like. Still worth a try if you’re nearby.

Lizzie was fantastic, and doing this right after getting married on the Queen Mary made it feel extra special. The room fit the occasion perfectly and we had a wonderful time.

I’d recommend The Queen to anyone, new or seasoned. My brothers and I chose it as our first room, set it to the toughest mode like gamers do, and had a blast beating it.
