About the escape room
Welcome aboard the U.S.S. Discovery. As civilian engineers, you’ve been given a singular opportunity to inspect a piece of living history. More than 900 years ago, this Crossfield-class starship represented state of the art 23rd century Starfleet technology. Your mission is to travel aboard Discovery while it makes a routine patrol, evaluating each of its systems in preparation for the host of upgrades the ship requires to bring it up to modern 32nd century standards. Discovery has collided with a quantum filament, causing major hull damage. Multiple hull breaches have been detected, and many power systems are malfunctioning or are offline. The filaments’ quantum resonance has caused a polarity shift in the antimatter containment system, leading to a progressive degeneration in the containment field. If field strength falls below 15%, it will collapse, destroying the vessel and everyone aboard. We’re currently operating under isolation protocols, which means the main computer has closed emergency bulkheads across the ship and the turbolift control system has been disabled, leaving the bulk of the crew trapped and unable to begin repairs.Your turbolift was stopped near the Auxiliary Control section. If you can override its systems and free yourselves, that makes you our best option for helping Discovery and its crew avoid this disaster. Your first order of business is escaping your turbolift and finding a way to communicate with senior members of the crew. If you can re-establish communications, you may be able to work together to repair the antimatter containment field before the strength falls below 15% which is projected to be in precisely 60 minutes time. If you’re successful, you’ll have saved Discovery and the entire crew. By modern standards, this 23rd century starship belongs in a museum, but its technology is all you have to help you take command of this situation. Can you complete your mission and save the ship? Discovery’s crew is counting on you. Failure is not an option...

Go if you want a slick, screen-forward sci‑fi mission with a Star Trek: Discovery vibe and a real ticking clock. Best for small teams who like narrative-driven tech puzzles over padlocks.

AI Overview

AIPlayers consistently call it immersive, tech-heavy, and moderate in difficulty, with puzzles that generally flow well. The Star Trek tie-in exists but isn’t as deep as some hoped, and big wow moments are rare. Set and production get mixed notes, from high quality to a bit generic, and touchscreens can lag. Game masters are friendly, though responsiveness and clarity vary.
WeaknessesTie-ins to the franchise could go further, and the finale can feel flat. Many inputs are just digits on touchscreens, which sometimes lag. Space is small and linear, so larger groups may idle.
StrengthsStrong sci‑fi atmosphere with computer stations that make you feel like crew on the Discovery. Puzzles mostly fit the story, flow cleanly, and don’t require Trek knowledge. Easter eggs for Discovery fans add a little extra sparkle.
SecurityNo safety concerns noted and the facility feels welcoming and organized. Standard briefings and isolation are narrative elements, not actual hazards.
Level of fearNot scary; the tension is the countdown, not jump scares. Family-friendly as long as players are comfortable with screens and time pressure.
Actors' gameNo live actors; interaction is mainly with the ship’s interfaces. Staff are welcoming, though a few teams noted slow or unhelpful hinting and one auto-resolved puzzle that wasn’t well explained.
Quality of riddlesMostly interface-driven with a few hands-on moments; fair and mid-tier in difficulty. Good flow and some neat station-based tasks, but limited wow and several number-entry steps. One report of a timed auto-override on a puzzle may irk purists.
PlotYou’re stuck near Auxiliary Control after Discovery hits a quantum filament, and you’ve got 60 minutes to restore comms and stabilize antimatter containment. Save the ship before the field dips below 15% or everyone’s toast.
Difficulty levelModerate and best for two to three players; accessible to newcomers and still engaging for enthusiasts. Big groups may find it too linear, while a duo could be busy but fine with good communication.

Decent for 2–3 enthusiasts and sci‑fi folks. Loved the tech-forward approach and Discovery nods, and the puzzle flow hit a nice groove for our pair. The set felt a bit generic beyond the screens, the ending didn’t wow, and too many inputs were just digits. Touch panels lagged and our GM’s early hints repeated things we’d solved.

We crushed it as a team of two and felt like engineers under fire. Lots of screens, very little searching, and the countdown adds spice. Would’ve liked fewer number pads, but the immersion carried it.

Fun, very tech-centric, and it nails the outer-space immersion. You don’t need Trek knowledge, though Discovery fans will catch a few Easter eggs. Puzzles track with the story but few big surprise moments, and I wish there were deeper franchise ties. Our pair had plenty to do, but a large group might wind up waiting.

A good pick for Star Trek fans and one of Escapology’s stronger games. The space is small and quite linear, so I’d stick with two or three players. Nice tech and a solid set, just not the kind of experience that blows the doors off.

We had a blast with the evolving screens and station feel, even as non-Trekkies. One puzzle auto-completed after a timer, which felt odd, and our GM couldn’t explain the intended solve. Aside from that, some tasks felt fresh and the crew-role vibe was great, though the last challenges weren’t as novel. Overall, it still lived long and prospered for us.

Really smooth flow and clean logic, with only a couple of head-scratchers. Not a ton of Star Trek-specific moments, but the Discovery nods are cute. Touchscreens lagged once, nothing major.

I’m not a Trekkie and still had fun. The narrative ties the tasks together nicely, and the GM was cheerful. More franchise depth would push it to amazing, but as-is it’s a solid sci-fi escape.

Leans hard into the spaceship vibe, which I loved. The consoles make you feel like bridge crew, and the story beats line up with what you’re doing. I just wish the finale landed bigger. Still, great time for a duo.

Room is tight and pretty linear, so our group of five ended up waiting around. Puzzles were fair and on-theme, just not mind-blowing. If you’re a small crew, you’ll likely have a better time.

Favorite room at this Escapology so far. The flow clicked from start to finish and we even hit a twist we didn’t see coming. Left grinning and ready for another game.
