Company Great Room Escape

We’ve done 150+ rooms and this lands in our top ten. It channels Tower of Terror vibes with a well‑told story, polished tech, and a stellar atmosphere. We hit a small tech snag but the GM fixed it quickly; it threw off our time a bit, no big deal. They even let us bring a well‑behaved toddler at no charge. Highly recommend.

We brought three friends new to escape rooms and still had a great time. It’s old‑school keys and combos, but the set sells it. There was an in‑room actor we didn’t really need, yet she handled everything smoothly. Friendly owners who clearly love talking shop.

A lot of pieces were loose or broken, so we missed panels that actually wanted force. Solves didn’t clearly trigger anything, and we had to ask the GM if we’d done it right. One train “window” still showed an input menu. Our GM seemed checked out—quick congrats, then straight to resetting, no debrief or photo.

Out of the 13 rooms I’ve played, this is top‑two for me. Set design is exceptional, puzzles are enjoyable, and the hour‑and‑a‑half drive was absolutely worth it. First time with Great Room Escape, and I’m already planning a return visit.

The venue knows the axe‑throw noise is a problem and even mentioned it, but it still undercuts the mood. This room packs more puzzles than usual, so you’ll be sprinting to finish; we escaped as two experienced players with only minutes left and a few hints. Great puzzle design overall, just not a love because of the noise.

Spellbound and Terminal both delivered jaw‑dropping sets and hype‑worthy stories before we even started. Spellbound’s puzzles forced us to think differently and stayed on theme throughout, and the game masters were genuinely excited about their work. We loved every minute and gave them top marks.

Very combo‑lock heavy and occasionally underclued, which likely explains the hard rating. We had several four‑digit codes with little direction on which lock they fit, and one bit of info tucked under a floorboard needed a hint because the nudge was too vague. That said, the room‑to‑room transition is cool and the cabin vibe lands. Fun overall, just not on the level of Ghost Hotel for me.

Gorgeous room and set work, with enough parallel tasks that our group of six stayed engaged. Great immersion, but we didn’t realize we’d finished until the GM stepped in to say congrats.

Haunted hotel done right. The set is huge, the story threads actually matter, and the effects make the space feel bigger than it is. We were solving in parallel the whole time and never felt idle. Big thumbs up.

We played with four first-timers and two semi-experienced folks, and were told up front the rooms here have a 6% or lower escape rate. That’s wildly low and should really be highlighted online.
