About the escape room
A serial killer is on the loose! You know the most recent victim. The police haven't gotten anywhere and it seems the case might be going cold. Perhaps, the best place to start is where the last victim was killed. You think you're on the right path but you soon find not all the decisions you make are the right one.

AI Overview

AIMost guests call this immersive theater first and an escape room second, with a live actor steering the story and the scares. Puzzles are light, fairly linear, and often feel like practical actions tied to the plot. The set is cinematic, the humor breaks the tension well, and many rave about the ending. A minority of enthusiasts downrate it for few puzzles or price versus puzzle density.
WeaknessesPuzzle-heads may feel shortchanged by the low difficulty and volume of puzzles. A few call it overpriced for what it is and mention strobe-light gimmicks or a slightly muddled story. Not ideal if you want locks, codes, and deep logic chains.
StrengthsTop-tier acting, strong interaction, and a moody, film-like set make it stick. The scare-to-laugh rhythm works, and the finale gets repeated praise. Production value and immersion are consistently highlighted.
SecurityThere are strobe lights and a short crawl element; staff flag this up front and can accommodate sensitivities. Jump scares are part of the show, and the team is attentive to guests who need the intensity toned down.
Level of fearIt’s spooky with jump scares and tense build-ups, more haunted-house energy than gore. Best for teens and adults who like Halloween-style thrills; actor intensity can be dialed back if needed.
Actors' gameReviews gush about the live actor and GMs who shape the tone, riff with the group, and keep the story moving. Interactions are frequent and often hilarious, with tailored scares for anxious players.
Quality of riddlesExpect straightforward, story-driven tasks and environmental interactions over brain-benders. They’re fair and thematic but generally easy, especially for veterans. Linear flow helps beginners and small groups stay on track.
PlotYou retrace a killing and try to put a restless spirit to rest, veering between dread and dark comedy. The narrative pushes you forward with the actor as your guide and foil, ending on a memorable note without cheap twists.
Difficulty levelEasy to moderate overall, great for first-timers, dates, or mixed-experience groups. Enthusiasts seeking heavy puzzling may breeze through and want more challenge.

We might’ve been the last group to run Resurrection before that location closed, and it was a rush. I scare easily and still had fun because Jason balanced genuine frights with breaks and left me space when I needed it. The acting and immersion were outstanding, more like theater than a classic escape room, and I hope the new spot keeps that magic.

Found it inside the Redondo Beach mall and learned P4 is the handy entrance late at night. It’s mostly theater with a smaller puzzle slice, capped by one of the best endings I’ve seen. Katie looked out for the scared folks and still kept the comedy-horror tone; our group of seven paid an overbooking fee but had a pulsing-good time.

Fantastic time overall. Puzzles lean easy, especially if you’ve played a lot, but the fun and fright are the point here. Immersion, visuals, and the horror-comedy balance were great—AJ made it unforgettable for our small group.

Appreciated the upfront strobe warning. The unconventional, hands-on solves made us treat the whole set like a playground, and the actor deepened the story. Lean into the bit and it really sings—easy recommendation.

Our GM was phenomenal at reading the room and eased off when my friend got jittery. Sets look great, scares land, and the story clicks. I left grinning and a little shaky.

Felt like we walked into a horror movie and got cast on the spot. The actor kept us screaming, then cracking up, and the ending absolutely sings. Not puzzle-heavy, but the atmosphere rules.

If you want an escape room full of puzzles, this misses. It’s theater-heavy, and while our GM was great, it wasn’t the experience we wanted—especially for our 100th room.

Jason hosted our first of four back-to-back rooms, and this horror piece mixed laughs with adrenaline. The live actor brought real heart-pounding moments, and the puzzles were fun with a few fresh twists. It’s now one of my favorite scary rooms.

More haunt than escape room. Cool moments, sure, but too light on puzzles for the price in my book. Fun for casuals, not for puzzle fiends like me.

Tight flow, clever environmental interactions, and the actor ties it all together. We had four people and it felt ideal. Would 100% bring new folks here.

Resurrection shines with immersion and quirky, unique elements. In true Quest fashion, many ‘puzzles’ are practical actions woven into the plot, and our group loved the horror-comedy mix. Strong recommend.

As someone who lives for Halloween mazes, this room hit the sweet spot. It oozes horror-movie vibes and the live actor, Matt, leveled everything up. Highly recommended if you enjoy that kind of thrill.

If you want logic marathons, this isn’t it. If you want jumpy, funny, super-interactive theater with a few clean tasks, you’ll have a blast. Strobes were flagged up front, which I appreciated.

Scary in a fun way and super cinematic, but easier on puzzles—definitely more of an experience. We felt delightfully silly at times, which actually made it better.

They call it Thrill Theater and that fits. There are puzzles, but they’re on the easier side, and the jump scares are manageable even if you’re nervous. A fun, approachable ride.
