Moody cemetery vibes, in-character GMs, and meaty, non-linear puzzles make The Cursed a solid pick when you want atmosphere plus challenge. It’s spooky-not-terrifying, best with a small, focused team.

AI Overview

AIPlayers rave about the game masters who stay in character, keep things moving, and even rescue tech when it hiccups. The set feels like a real graveyard—creepy, detailed, and perfect for Halloween—though it’s very dark with few flashlights. Difficulty leans medium-hard with some finicky tech and a non-linear flow that can confuse first-timers. Value is good, and groups of 2–4 seem to have the best time.
WeaknessesIt’s quite dark and typically only two flashlights are provided, which can bog down bigger teams. Some tech and alignment-based puzzles feel touchy, and a few props need more force than expected. Flow and start cues aren’t always clear.
StrengthsImmersive cemetery set, strong story flavor, and GMs who elevate the whole run with themed hints and playful banter. Puzzles are varied and satisfying when they click, and the production suits the lore.
SecurityVery dark with low fixtures, so mind your head and watch your step; several players suggest padding and more light. Staff give guidance on force, and the room is climate-controlled for comfort.
Level of fearEerie and atmospheric with light scares, more spooky than nightmare fuel. Suitable for teens and cautious adults; horror-seekers may find it tame but fun.
Actors' gameGame masters like Shea, Zach, Dylan, and Faith get consistent shout-outs for staying in character, delivering timely hints, and adding humor and ambience. They smoothly step in when tech stalls, keeping immersion intact.
Quality of riddlesMix of search, logic, and multi-step interactions with some older tech that fits the theme. Non-linear paths reward teamwork, but a few mechanisms are finicky and occasionally require a firm pull or precise alignment. Overall challenging yet fair with hints.
PlotYou’re picking through the cursed Black Willow Cemetery, torn between treasure hunting and restoring balance to the underworld. The tale gets a little wild but it’s a fun ride without heavy spoilers needed.
Difficulty levelSolid medium-hard; experienced groups of three to four will thrive, while newcomers may lean on hints. Solo pairs can do it but bigger groups might struggle sharing light and tasks.

Our GM stole the show. The room is very dark and you only get a couple of flashlights, which hurts with larger groups. Puzzle flow was mostly fine, but the start wasn’t obvious and a few things needed a harder pull than expected.

Great atmosphere, but there are several spots where you can bang your head in the dark. Would love to see some padding added.

Creepy set, smart puzzles, and our GM stayed in character the whole time. We were three and it felt just right—spooky without being over the top. Would happily do another room here.

The Cursed is cleverly built and the production looks fantastic. Dylan ran our game smoothly, the story was engaging, and while it wasn’t the scariest, the difficulty made up for it. Highly recommend and I’m planning to try their other rooms.

Booked on a Groupon and it was absolutely worth it. Some props showed their age and one puzzle failed, but our GM kept up constant, in-character interaction and even let us finish one step after time. Good value if you’re deal hunting.

Not my favorite, but still decent. Faith stayed in character, steered us away from time sinks, and I’d say four players is ideal. Difficulty sits between medium and hard, the room is very nonlinear, and some tech needs exact alignment. The cemetery feel was cool and the scares were mild.

Perfect October pick—gloomy marsh, candlelit vibes, and layered puzzles. Dylan was hilarious and helpful without over-hinting. Left grinning and a little dusty, in the best way.

Loved the creepy design and it’s a great Halloween pick. The puzzles lean old-school tech, which actually fits the story. Big props to Dylan—his performance really amped up the mood.

We had fun with a few especially tough puzzles that forced us to think hard to finish in time. GM and staff were friendly, and the hints matched the theme, which kept us immersed. Not my top room here, but very doable for an experienced group of four.

Cool atmosphere with solid, challenging puzzles, and our GM was funny and hands-off unless we asked. A few tech elements lagged, but overall it stayed fun.

Family of four, non-linear flow kept all of us busy and the hint voice fit the theme perfectly. One prop needed a harder pull than I was comfy with, but we got there. Good challenge, cool set.

Went with six and only two flashlights made the first room a slog. Still, the cemetery vibe was strong and most puzzles made sense once we split tasks better. Solid time overall.

We tried it because our friends failed, and we squeaked out a win. The second room cracked us up, the ambience worked, and only the finale felt a bit rushed. Good time all around.

Some tech felt janky and our GM had to trigger a couple of opens manually. Start was a bit unclear too. Fun ideas, but it didn’t fully land for me.

Memorable ceiling moment for sure. A couple of tech triggers didn’t fire when solved, and our GM had to open some cabinets manually. Still a cool experience and probably my second favorite at this location.
