About the escape room

The Caribbean. The year is 1658.

The hook-handed Captain McGinnis, met his forever love, Rose, while plundering the high seas. He kept her near at all times, even when he and his crew set sail. Sea dogs say it’s bad luck to have a woman aboard and his crew took this warning to heart.

In an attempt to salvage their luck, they mutinied against the Captain, throwing Rose overboard into the sea. Unfortunately, a worse fate awaited them... A wrathful storm brewed overhead, washing their ship ashore and no living souls were left onboard.

Your crew comes across the wreck, gathers courage and decides to venture onto the cursed vessel. Your goal within 60 minutes is to find the Captain’s treasure and then break the curse - Before you become cursed as well...

AI Overview

AIPlayers like the pirate theme and call out surprising movement and tech beats, with many groups finishing comfortably. Several note that puzzles skew basic and the set feels pared back compared to the venue’s flashier rooms. A few hiccups recur: minor tech issues, a step that leans on common knowledge with no hint, and solves that trigger early before all pieces are gathered. It also accommodates larger teams well.
WeaknessesSet design feels undercooked next to the company’s stronger rooms, and parts of the puzzle path are escape-room 101. Reviews mention occasional tech hiccups, a no-hint common-knowledge step, and out-of-sequence solves that blunt a reveal.
StrengthsEngaging pirate vibe with some novel mechanics and cool motion effects, plus a couple of neat tech surprises. Plays well with bigger groups and keeps energy up. Even the lobby entrance gets shout-outs.
SecurityNothing in the reviews flags safety issues. There are some movement effects and tech pieces, but the experience reads as straightforward under normal briefing and oversight.
Level of fearMore swashbuckling than scary. The cursed-ship mood is mild, so families and jumpy players should be fine.
Actors' gameNo mentions of live actors; interaction appears environmental and puzzle-driven.
Quality of riddlesDifficulty ranges from approachable to very beginner-friendly. One task reportedly relies on common knowledge without a hint, and a couple of steps can be triggered before all inputs are found. New players will feel capable, while veterans may want deeper layering.
PlotBoard a wrecked pirate ship, hunt the captain’s treasure, and break the curse before time runs out. The narrative stays clear and keeps the mission moving without heavy exposition.
Difficulty levelEasy to moderate overall. Great for newcomers and mixed groups; seasoned players may find it on the gentle side.
