AI Overview

AIPlayers repeatedly mention worn props and unclear clues, including faded symbols and an imprecise decoder. The room skews lock-and-key with relatively few deeper puzzles, so runs can feel short. Game masters get strong praise for being helpful and accommodating. Overall quality feels middling but pleasant when things are working.
WeaknessesMaintenance issues crop up—faded markings, worn pieces, and the occasional broken or mis-set puzzle. Some clues feel ambiguous, which can derail teams. Content can feel thin and a bit generic for veterans.
StrengthsCharming pirate vibe and a cute, well-themed set when lit and maintained. A couple of puzzles land well and the staff support is consistently praised. Good pick for newcomers who want quick progress.
SecurityStandard escape-room briefing and staff support; no safety concerns noted in reviews. Some worn items may confuse rather than endanger.
Level of fearNot scary and kid-friendly; it plays like an adventure rather than a horror room. Suitable for families and cautious players.
Actors' gameNo live actors here; interaction is mostly with props and puzzles. The game master is attentive and helpful with hints.
Quality of riddlesMostly straightforward searching and opening locks with a few light puzzles sprinkled in. Fairness is mixed due to faded symbols and at least one report of a broken element, which can muddy logic. Variety is limited but accessible for beginners.
PlotYou sneak onto a pirate ship while the crew’s away, chasing keys and gold before time runs out. It’s a simple, family-friendly treasure hunt with a clear objective.
Difficulty levelOn the easier side, ideal for first-timers and families. Experienced teams may finish early and want more depth.

Several pieces were worn to the point of being hard to read, and one puzzle was broken with the linked item already unlocked, which sent us on a wild goose chase. It needs some TLC, but we still found a few puzzles fun and the set was pretty cute overall.

Great-looking set and a fun concept, but a couple of solutions felt shaky—our decoder sat between two letters and the faded symbols didn’t help. Still, we enjoyed ourselves, and the game master was fantastic.

Took my niece and nephew and they adored the ship theme. Zero scare factor, clear goal, and the GM kept things light and friendly. Short and sweet afternoon activity.

Lots of locks and a few clues that weren’t crisp—one decoder felt off and some markings were hard to read. Fine for beginners, but it didn’t wow our group.

There’s not a ton here beyond finding keys and opening locks, with only a few real puzzles. We escaped with about 20 minutes left, and instead of feeling proud it just felt light on content.

We blasted through in under 45 minutes and wished there was more meat on the bone. Too many keys, not enough aha moments for my taste.

Pretty standard and not especially memorable, and our room wasn’t set correctly which was frustrating. Even fixed, it would land near the bottom of what we’ve played. The GM did make it right by letting us try Area 52, which was excellent and much tougher.

Decent intro room, but puzzle lovers should look elsewhere for a challenge. Staff were great though, and hinted well without giving it away.

Fun pirate vibes and a super nice GM made this an easygoing hour. Not the most complex puzzles, but we still had a good time and the set looked cute on photos.
