Charming theme and friendly staff, but for an easy room with around nine puzzles, the $30 price tag stings. We meandered and still finished in about 35 minutes, and the single-track design left extra hands idle in a cramped space. Great for newcomers, less so if you want depth or value.

We brought six people and realized fast this plays best at four, maybe less. Staff was super nice, the theme leans Gatsby/Capone, and the puzzles hit that fun-but-challenging middle once we took a few hints. It’s fairly linear, so extras end up standing around between solves. They call it their toughest room and I can see why, and I’d still recommend it.

Would recommend overall. Staff were lovely, the space is on the smaller side so two non‑beginners felt ideal, and the flow was pretty linear. It leaned easy for us with a couple of hints, and one not‑so‑obvious action needed a nudge, but we still had fun and enjoyed the little startle sounds and magnetic touches.

I’ve played this twice. The first run years ago was a blast; the replay was still fun, but I’ve done stronger rooms since, so I’m dialing it back to a simple thumbs up. Also, you ring a bell for clues and the host steps in, which breaks immersion. My original take was that the puzzles were unique and engaging, and that largely still stands.

Several puzzles needed better execution. We understood the mechanisms but couldn’t complete them cleanly because they didn’t operate smoothly, costing us 15 minutes on things we’d already solved. The reliance on gimmicks dulled twists that could have carried the game.
